On November 5, IvSU became the platform of the "Big Ethnographic Dictation" – 2020

The V anniversary International Educational event "Big Ethnographic Dictation" was held back-to-back with the National Unity Day. On November 5, about 60 people gathered in the assembly hall of the 1st building of IvSU to check the level of their ethnographic literacy and at the same time to learn something new about the people of their native country. Participants passed a test consisting of 30 questions: 20 of them, the federal part of the Dictation, were common for the whole country, and 10 questions were devoted to the ethnography of our region.

The Dictation was written by undergraduate students of all institutes and the Faculty of Law of IvSU, as well as students of the 1st year of the master's program. Despite the large number of participants, the safety rules and the mask regime were observed.

Some participants completed the tasks pretty quickly but on average it took about 30 minutes. The dictation turned out to be very interesting, with unexpected questions, which was noted by many of the participants.
