A new stage of international cooperation

On August 31, the Summer Law School for students and teachers of the Yeditepe Partner University (Istanbul, Turkey) ended at Ivanovo State University. The school has become a new stage in the long-term cooperation of our universities and has allowed us to expand the areas of interaction. It was attended by 15 students of the Faculty of Law of Yeditepe University, as well as three teachers, including the Deputy Dean Dr. Ragip Barış ERMAN.

At the solemn opening of the school on August 23, 2021, the rector of IvSU Alexey Malygin, welcoming the participants, noted that a unique educational environment has developed in Ivanovo: 7 universities operate in our city, but only one Ivanovo University – IvSU – trains specialists in the field of jurisprudence.

Since August 23, within the framework of the Law School teachers of the IvSU Faculty of Law gave lectures on the modern Russian legal system, criminal, civil, constitutional and international law. Introductory classes on the Russian language and culture were also organized for students. Thanks to the professionalism of our teachers, the lectures aroused great interest among students. They participated in discussions, asked many questions, came to teachers after lectures, and were interested in the possibilities of creating joint scientific legal projects.

In the afternoon, a cultural program was organized for students and teachers with the participation of the Trade Union Committee and the Welcome Center of IvSU, including visits to museums, numerous master classes, acquaintance with the sights of Ivanovo and Suzdal.

Within the framework of the existing cooperation agreement, in February 2022 it is planned to organize the Law School for IvSU law students on the basis of Yeditepe University.
