"Open Dialogue" on the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism

As part of the activities of the IvSU Coordination Center, a memorial event dedicated to the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism was held on September 6.

The Day of Remembrance is dedicated to the tragic events of September 3, 2004 in Beslan, when more than 300 people died as a result of an inhuman crime. This year, memorial events were held throughout the country, because this year marks the 20th anniversary of this tragedy.

In memory of the victims and with the aim of conducting educational talks, meetings dedicated to the fight against terrorism continue throughout the country. Our event was held in the "Open Dialogue" format with the participation of security agency veteran Boris Karpov.

During the preventive meeting, students recalled the essence of terrorism and the forms in which it manifests itself. Boris Vasilyevich shared examples of heroism in the fight against terrorism with students of IvSU, spoke about the work of the anti-terrorism unit "Alpha", about the regional resource center for military-patriotic education "Vympel". Boris Karpov also spoke about the history of security agencies and their role in the fight against terrorism.
