Welcome to our – the best! – university!

On September 1, at the site near the 3rd academic building of the university, the holiday "Hello, student!", which has already become a tradition, was cheerfully and fervently passed. No cold weather could prevent a worthy meeting of the wonderful replenishment of the "IvSU family" – our smart, purposeful and, of course, incredibly talented freshmen! Is it possible to freeze when on a specially built stage with spotlights the participants of the contests " Beauty of Ivanovo" and "Miss IvSU" gracefully defile, the students of the new and unique for the region direction "Education in the field of choreography" energetically dance and "light" with might and main presenters – Daria Gavrilova, Roman Pirogov, Alexander Nosov!

Like last year, the holiday was held in 3 stages, according to the institutes: IHS, IMITNS and ISES together with the Faculty of Law. Therefore, I would like to especially note, without exaggeration, the “shock work” of the hosts (virtuoso combining the presentation of guests, entertainer and musical performance), future choreographers and, of course, “beauties in kokoshniks”, dressed up, we note, in a very summery way! The student cards were solemnly handed over to the most “high-scored” first-year students: Olesya Ivanova, Anna Lyubimova, Stefania Suleymanova, Arina Agafonova. A stormy friendly reaction all 3 times was caused by a cheerful student oath: “We, students of Ivanovo State University, entering the university community, solemnly swear ...” (for each item, freshmen had to answer “we swear”, from “always attend lectures” to “on don’t bring a spur exam” – that’s what we believed!) – and a solemn laying in the “time capsule” of a “message to the future” prepared in advance by freshmen and teachers, which will be opened in 4 years, so that in July 2026 in a solemn atmosphere every student can remember yourself as a freshman and your aspirations. HIS students pleased with the excellent performance of the "KVN" team with bright "historical", "linguistic" and "psychological" skits; for the first-year students of IMITNS, IvSU teacher and part-time singer-songwriter V.V. Novikov performed with a guitar.; and the stage of ISEN and the Faculty of Law was decorated with a whole parade of "star guests".

Addressing the freshmen, the rector of IvSU A.A. Malygin congratulated them on joining the large university family of IvSU and noted that they certainly made the right choice. The rector expressed confidence that our “recruits” would live bright and eventful years within these walls, and then proudly carry the name and banner of our university through life, and wished them “not to be shy, not to be shy, not to be afraid to ask questions”, to be open knowledge and everything new. First Vice-Rector of IvSU O.V. Kuzmina, directors of institutes of IvSU S.A. Manik, T.P. Kustova, I.V. Kournikova and Dean of the Faculty of Law O.V. Sokolova heartily and excitedly spoke to the first-year students about the significance of this moment in their biography, about the unforgettable student time spent at a classical university, and wished our newcomers courage, perseverance in mastering complex knowledge and skills, constant striving for excellence, making friends, personal happiness – in a word , all that gives young life wings to fly. Federal Inspector for the Ivanovo Region of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District M.A. Kirillov, a graduate of IvSU, admitted that he does not lose touch with his alma mater, he envies the current freshmen, and always answers the question of which university he graduated from simply – “real”! Representatives of a long-standing and reliable partner of IvSU NGO "Consultant" E.N. Vypolskov and D.A. Malinina (a graduate of the Faculty of Law of IvSU) noted that a great time awaits applicants when, with the help of their wonderful teachers, they will be able to fully realize themselves in their studies, in project and creative activities. Chairman of the Ivanovo City Duma A.S. Kuzmichev (graduate of the Faculty of History and Law of the IvSU), Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation M.V. Kizeev, Director of the Federal Post Office of the Ivanovo Region of JSC Russian Post L.I. Agafonova (a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of IvSU) heartily congratulated the first-year students on the beginning of a new – perhaps better! – the stage of their life, and teachers – with excellent replenishment and, no doubt, a scattering of young talents, whose talents are to be discovered and "polished"! Yes, yes, it’s “polishing” – a diamond does not turn out by itself from a diamond!
