The eighth issue of the dictionary “Florence in the Works of World Famous People: Encyclopedic Associative Dictionary for Guides and Tourists (in English)” was published

The publishing house of Ivanovo State University published the eighth issue of the dictionary "Florence in the Works of World Famous People: Encyclopedic Associative Dictionary for Guides and Tourists (in English)" (2021). The dictionary was published for the anniversary of the head of IvSU scientific and educational center "Topical problems of modern lexicography", Doctor of Philology, Professor, President of Ivanovo English Language Teachers Association Olga M. Karpova.

The encyclopedic associative dictionary "Florence in the Works of World Famous People" is a dictionary of biographies of famous artists, writers, sculptors, musicians, politicians, whose life and creative path are closely connected with the Italian city of Florence. The dictionary is built on the principle of "genius of the place" (genius loci). The structure of the dictionary article includes several sections: Biography, Creative Works, Florentine Influence), Associations and Learn more. Articles are accompanied by photos and links.

The dictionary is addressed to guides and tourists, students, teachers, translators and philologists, as well as to all those who are interested in Italian culture and the activities of writers, painters, scientists who were inspired by the richness of the cultural heritage of the city of Florence.
