On June, 10 the winners of the interuniversity competition "Growth Point" (in the Ivanovo region) organized by Federal Antimonopoly Service were awarded with certificates and valuable prizes.
In the conference hall of the 6th academic building, the winners and participants of the competition were congratulated and admonished by the rector of IvSU Aleksey Malygin, Head of the Ivanovo region Federal Antimonopoly Service Aleksandr Borovkov, Chairman of the Council of Association of Lawyers of Russia (Ivanovo branch) Mark Geller and Director of Ivanovo agency of tenders and auctions Kirill Shamin.
Rector of IvSU Aleksey Malygin, welcoming the participants and guests of the event, underlined that organizing meetings of students with representatives of state and municipal structures, with employers is the programme position of the university leadership, as well as support of professional competitions that are important for the successful formation and development of a future specialist. “We are always happy to support such significant projects, we are open in this for students of other universities, and, of course, for our students and graduates,” the rector said.
The next speaker, Mark Geller addressed the students: “You are great, try, dare: the future is in your hands, and the path of a professional lawyer begins with your desires and your ambitions. Don't be afraid to make a mistake. It's always better to try than not to try – this rule works, I can confirm it with my many years of experience. "
Aleksandr Borovkov expressed special gratitude to IvSU rector who took a direct part in the preparation of the event. Aleksandr Borovkov also emphasized the competitive activity of IvSU students and thanked them for the fact that they “found time and strength to participate in the competition despite a difficult academic schedule, amid all the temptations of youth”.
The initiator of this competition at the regional level as an interuniversity Kirill Shamin (he was also the chairman of the jury) thanked the Antimonopoly Service, which, despite its overload, participates in social, student projects and noted the continuity of generations as the most important principle of development and transfer of knowledge: a new generation of professionals goes out into the world, after a while it takes leadership positions, and in this process, both the opportunity for seniors to share experiences and fresh ideas from young people are important.
Then the floor was given to three winners. The 1st place was taken by Vafin Artem. His essay focused on the complexities of catering companies, movie chains during a pandemic, the inequality of the current environment, and responses to new challenges. The 2nd place went to Alena Kasatkina. The 3rd place, according to the rules of the competition, was “divided” for 10 people, and Elena Elagina was invited to speak (all the winners were third-year law students). Her essay described the threat of a situation of uncontrolled inflation, which was announced in early June by several key players in the world market.
