The annual spring "Career Week" (March 22-26) has ended at Ivanovo State University. These days were full of events: a meeting of the "Teachers of the XXI century", organized for young teachers; trainings, master classes, lectures and communication with interesting people; a meeting with companies within the framework of the project "From the university to the career!" And in numbers more than 350 participants, 30 companies-employers, more than 200 vacancies of various profiles.
The first in a series of events was a meeting held in the assembly hall of the 1st building with a graduate of IvSU, a member of the Board of Trustees of the University, Chairman of the Board of the Ivanovo regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, head of the group of companies "Constant-Holding" Mark Geller. The "Career Week" was opened by the rector of IvSU Alexey Malygin. In his speech, he spoke about the activities of the IvSU Alumni Association, which consists primarily in the active and caring participation of graduates in university projects, human and professional communication with students, and assistance in transferring invaluable experience to new generations coming out of alma mater. And the meeting of Mark Geller with a large student audience, mainly lawyers and economists, is a perfect example of such interaction. The guest's speech and the subsequent conversation with the audience turned out to be very rich and informative.
Also, one of the first events of this week was a meeting held in the reading room of the 1st building with the Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Development and Trade of the Ivanovo region, Yulia Kapralova. At the beginning of her speech, she told about the management staff of the department, as well as that students of the "Economics" have an internship there and can get a job without a competition. During the dialogue, questions were raised about the nuances of employment and the amount of wages. The students received very important information that they can register themselves as self-employed and receive experience that will contribute to further career advancement. Y. Kapralova told the students about the importance of writing a correct resume. She noted that the resume should be colorful and reveal the personality as much as possible.
On March 23, at the meeting of "Teachers of the XXI Century" in the assembly hall of IvSU, an open discussion was held. During the conversation, students of pedagogical directions and university graduates who have connected their activities with teaching discussed the modern education market and the employment of teachers, the prestige and subtleties of the "eternal" profession. The speakers – Sergey Ryabkov, Director of Gymnasium No. 32, Marina Novozhilova, Deputy Director for Internal Affairs of the Istok Lyceum, and Alexey Kiryanov, Director of the Municipal Autonomous Institution of Additional Education Center for Technical Creativity "Novation" – shared their experience of pedagogical formation.
On March 24, A. Kiryanov also held his own event – training for senior students "Analysis of a specialist through the prism of the Marketing Mix concept". Alexey Kiryanov told the students about one of the most famous and popular marketing concepts – the concept of "4p", which combines such elements as product, price, place, promotion. All these elements must be taken into account when drawing up a company's marketing plan.
On March 25, in the assembly hall of the 1st building of IvSU, within the framework of the "Career Week", the opening of the job fair "From the university to the career!" was held, which was attended by students of different courses who want to plan a good future for themselves and continue to develop after graduation from the university. One of the speakers was the director of the Ivanovo Interdistrict Employment Center Pavel Maksimenko, who told the audience about the importance of employment issues, as well as about the work of the employment service. He also drew the students' attention to the fact that at the first stage of employment, the experience gained is important, and only then the salary.
Then the young people were invited to listen to information about the service under contract and all its privileges. The rest of the audience went down to the reading room of the 1st building, where the job fair was held. Many different organizations took part in this event to help young graduates and students find their place in the world. You can name such organizations as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Traffic Police Department, SOGAZ, the "Daytabridge" Translation Agency, Involta, the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Ivanovo region, the Department of Finance of the Ivanovo region, the Regional Management Center, the Selection Point for military service under a contract, LLC Inter RAO, the Institute of Professional Development of IvSU, the network of additional education centers "Unium'' – and others. Graduates were offered vacancies in the state and civil service, in commercial organizations for full and part-time employment, as well as summer internships and bases for practical training. Initial interviews and questionnaires were conducted.
At the end of the ''career days'', on March 26, in the reading room for students of the 4th year of the courses "Chemistry" and "Physics", a meeting was organized with the head of the personnel Management Department of LLC "StandartPlast" Lyudmila Vlasova.
We hope that the whole "career week" was useful for the senior students and many students were able to take the first step to their dream job!
