IvSU undergraduates are the winners of the essay contest in English!

In December 2020, the interregional essay contest in English "The Imperative of Transformation" was announced for students of master's programs. The contest was initiated by the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics of ISUCT.

The participants were asked to write an essay about Russian education and the relevant changes, about their native university and the challenges that it has to face. Previously, the participants had to watch an English-language video from the Skolkovo archive, in which the rector of the University of Arizona (USA), M. Crowe, talks about modern higher education.

More than 50 essays from ISUCT, IvSU, ISPU and UlSPU were submitted for the contest. 30 of them were admitted to the main contest and a three-stage "blind" evaluation by experts. When evaluating the essays, both their content characteristics and formal ones – the style and correctness of the presentation in English – were taken into account.

In February, the results were summed up. Both the participants and the mentors were waiting for with great impatience. We are pleased to inform everyone that all prizes in the linguistic section were granted to undergraduates of Ivanovo State University, who are studying under the program 45.04.01 "Philology (Foreign Philology)»:

• 1st place - Ekaterina Klochkova, 2nd year
• 2nd place - Anna Surkova, 1st year
• 3rd place - Alena Chechetkina, 2nd year
