On February 18, 2022, interns of IvSU legal clinic “Accessible Legal Environment” Kulikova Yana and its interns held an online meeting dedicated to anti-drug prevention with IvSU students from Central Asian countries studying in the programme “Biology”. Mother Language Festival at IvSU

“Whatever you say, the mother tongue will always remain native. When you want to talk heart-to-heart, not a single French word comes to mind, but if you want to shine, then it’s another matter,” Lev Tolstoy once wrote. Participants of the festival “Mother Language Day at Ivanovo State University” brilliantly showed how one can talk about one's mother language, using quite difficult Russian.

Scientific activity in student assessments

On the Day of Russian Science, the expert and analytical center of IvSU conducted a study among university students (n = 285 people). On this day it is especially important to pay attention not only to the social significance of scientific activity, but also to the need to increase the prestige of science and popularize its achievements among students. Senior students of all areas of study, including bachelors and masters, took part in the survey.

IvSU opened Boiling Point!

On January 25, the Day of Russian Students, a truly significant event took place – the opening of the “Boiling Point – IvSU” with the participation of representatives of federal and regional authorities. 3rd in the region and 141st in the country – but the first “university” in Ivanovo region, associated with the expansion of the very format of higher education, and with the opening of new opportunities for collaboration as part of a wide variety of communities and associations.

Career guidance workshop “Knowledge floors” for schoolchildren

On January 22, 2022, IvSU (re)launched the Knowledge Floors project, a career guidance workshop for “schoolchildren and their parents”. The event took place in the 6th educational building of IvSU. The project gives an idea about university areas of training through solving entertaining problems from various fields of knowledge. For the first time, the project took place in “pre-pandemic” 2019 and gathered together 50 future applicants from the city and the region.

IvSU is a regional leader in admission quality

According to the HSE ranking for 2021, our university has leading positions in the region in terms of admission quality(the average score of applicants is taken into account). IvSU is in the first place in terms of the quality of admission to state-funded places among regional universities subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Our university is also the absolute regional leader in terms of commercial admission (quantitative indicator).
