Scientists of IvSU took part in the international scientific seminar in Glasgow

On November 19, the University of Glasgow hosted an international scientific seminar on historical lexicography and lexicology, which was attended by the heads of Research and Educational Сenters of the Institute of Humanities of IvSU, professors O. Karpov and F. Kartashkov.

The principles of compiling three historical explanatory dictionaries of the English language, which make up the cultural heritage of the English national lexicography, were discussed at the seminar. The research of our scientists in this field aroused great interest of the audience from many countries in the world: Great Britain, USA, Italy, France, etc.
