K. Kumirova was appointed to the post of President of the Primary Union Organization of students and postgraduates of IvSU

On November 12, the extraordinary election conference of the Primary Union Organization of students and postgraduates of IvSU was held in the assembly hall.

The conference was attended by 20 out of 30 delegates representing 682 members of the organization, which meant that there was a quorum. The conference was chaired by N. Sorokin, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and International Cooperation of IvSU. In addition, the Bureau of the Conference included the first Vice-Rector of IvSU O. Kuzmina, President of the Ivanovo Regional Organization of Union of employees of national education and science in Russian N. Moskaleva and Acting President of the Primary Union Organization of students and postgraduates M. Ramazanova. The mandate, counting and drafting committees were also elected.

Kuzmina in her greeting speech to the audience "on behalf of all people who are not indifferent to the life of the Student Union" noted: "It may be a cliché, but the Student Union is really a school of hard knocks. This is study, help and support. At IvSU, the activity of the Student Union has always been at a very high level thanks to the O. Kashayeva, who recently left us but who gave her whole life to the Student Union and led it not only organizationally, but also mentally: students could always share their joys and problems with her. But life is moving forward, and each generation has its own challenges. I hope that we will work together and fulfill the mission of IvSU, which extends far beyond its borders". After explaining some organizational aspects of the current activities of the University (the meaning of the new structure, the nature of training in the context of the pandemic), O. Kuzmina wished the delegates successful work.

When the report of the President of the Mandate Committee M. Sergeev and the exchange of temporary certificates for mandates were unanimously approved, N. Sorokin announced the agenda:

1) Elections to the Primary Union Organization of students and postgraduates of IvSU to replace those who left;

2) Election of the President of the Primary Union Organization of students and postgraduates of IvSU

Instead of those who left their posts, it was proposed to elect E. Artamonova, a first-year student of the Faculty of Law, and A. Novoselskaya, a second-year student of the "Sociology". Despite their young age, both of them are already active in the Student Union, so they were elected unanimously.

Taking into account the opinion of the student community, Ksenia Kumirova, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Culture and Life Safety of IvSU, Master of Sports of Russia in Sambo, was nominated for the post of President of the Student Union. Speaking to delegates and guests of the conference, K. Kumirova told about herself and her active participation in the events held by the Student Union. Experience of activity of Student Union allowed her to identify priority areas of work: information support members of Student Union, clarification of the measures taken by the Student Union to implement the goals and objectives; informing members about the activities of the Student Union organization, its elected bodies, the actions of the parent bodies of the Studeny Union; formation of positive image of the Union. K. Kumirova also came up with the idea of creating social passports for each student (because the Student Union needs to help in the recovery plan, creating living conditions, etc.), stressed the importance of forming the moral-psychological atmosphere in the organization ("Many students do not realize the power behind the Student Union") and the necessity to take measures aimed at forming the image of the organization, as well as cultural activities.

At the call of the President of the Ivanovo Regional Organization of Union of employees of national education and science in Russian N. Moskaleva, the audience observed a minute of silence for O. Kashaeva. On the candidacy of Kumirova, N. Moskaleva expressed approval: "Time is very fast today, and you need to go one step ahead to keep up. We need leaders. To achieve what Ksenia Kumirova has achieved, you need to be a very persistent and very responsible person. This is a woman with a bit of backbone. Today, the world needs people who can put together a team, we need a good organizer. This is impossible for one person, so we will always be there for you. Experience is one of the components of success".

The vote yielded the following results: for the candidacy of K. A. Kumirova - 15, against - 0, abstained - 5. The newly elected President of the Student Union promised the delegates to invest in their work not only experience and knowledge, but also the soul, adding that she would expect the same from them.
