The IvSU administration sincerely congratulates Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. Martin Fincke, a great friend of Russia and IvSU, on his birthday!

Dr. Fincke is Honorary President of the Research and Educational Center of Studying of the German Law at the Law Faculty of Ivanovo State University, Honorary Doctor of St. Petersburg University, Honorary Professor of the Siberian Federal University and IvSU.

There is also his significant contribution to the establishment of cooperation between IvSU and the University of Passau, where he worked for more than 30 years. Prof. Fincke supported academic internships of teaching staff, the semester exchange of the students of the IvSU Faculty of Law. He met with IvSU students during their summer courses of German language at the University of Passau; many times he made presentations at international scientific-practical conferences which were held at the IvSU Faculty of Law and gave lectures for students of this faculty including modules on Comparative Law and Criminal Procedure Law of foreign countries.

In 2012 the Academic Council of Ivanovo State University awarded Prof. Fincke the title of Honorary Professor of IvSU for his great contribution to the development and strengthening of international cooperation between our universities.
