IvSU hosted the forum Smart route. Flexible Skills!

IvSU hosted the forum Smart route. Flexible Skills!

On November 18, IvSU hosted the forum “Smart route. Flexible Skills” (as part of the educational project of the Russian Society “Knowledge”).

At 11:00 in the assembly hall of the 1st educational building, it opened with a discussion “What are “flexible skills””, in which students from Ivanovo universities and all invited speakers took part: Elina Oganesyan (Doctor of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Microbiology of the Research Institute named after P.N. Kashkin); Alexander Odzho (winner of the All-Russian competition, organized by the Ministry of Education together with the social network TikTok, in the nomination "Teacher-discovery"); Nikolay Smirnov (program director of Skillbox in the direction of "Marketing"); Maria Shumarina (candidate of art criticism, associate professor of the Kazan State Conservatory named after N.G. Zhiganov).

Opening the event, IvSU First Vice-Rector O.V. Kuzmina warmly greeted the audience and speakers and noted that we are proud to be the regional platform of the forum and participate in several projects of the Knowledge Society at once, and we are gathering for the 4th time as part of the Smart Route. O.V. Kuzmina emphasized the importance of today's topic for the full-fledged "adult" socialization and professional self-realization of the young generation in the current complex world and briefly described the essence and attractiveness of each of the forum's tracks. According to the vice-rector, addressed to the students, "all this has not theoretical, but applied significance and can seriously affect your life and your life choices, your future profession and your career". O.V. Kuzmina wished fruitful work to all those present.

The event itself was very lively: the presenter and speakers joked a lot, asked questions to the audience themselves, worked in an "interactive" mode. Our guests immediately “provoked” the audience into a practical understanding of “flexible skills” (“Why is the first row empty, and you crowd behind, behave like non-leaders? Being a leader is also a “flexible skill”!”). The speakers made excellent use of the fact that they represent different, sometimes opposite, areas of activity, and in a playful “squabbling” with each other, they “rocked” the students to active work – for example, each speaker, of course, turned out to have his own view on the question, what specific “flexible skill” is most necessary for starting a career!

The speakers described in detail the topics and problems of their 9 lectures and master classes on 3 tracks (1. Self-development; 2. Development in a team; 3. Realization of opportunities) and already at the opening of the forum they clearly showed the audience how much they can do themselves, how they communicate freely and manage the situation, how easily they find a “common language” with the audience and encourage it to take various actions, and most importantly, they are open, friendly and eager to share their knowledge and skills.
