The entire evening in the Reading Hall of IvSU reigned "the science of beauty"!

On May 25, at 18:00, the reading room of the 1st educational building of the IvSU transformed into a podium was full. It was the final show of the Beauty and Talent Contest "Miss IvSU"! The competition lasted more than two months, and our 9 wonderful participants went through many tests and made every effort to win.

The nominations of the competition can already tell about what talents our girls needed to demonstrate – but the whole university already knows this, because all these two months I have been worried, arguing, dreaming, hoping together with our beauties! And the reading room was turned into a podium for this evening not by chance – as the rector of IvSU Alexei Aleksandrovich Malygin, a mathematician by education, noted, there is a "science of beauty". Well, we can say that it was she who reigned today, and the audience received great aesthetic pleasure!

The evening was hosted by IvSU Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Social Development Nikita Dmitrievich Sorokin and IvSU collegial body of student government Chairman Nona Zakaryan, and the representative jury, headed by IvSU Rector Alexei Alexandrovich Malygin, included: Beldeninova Olga Igorevna (executive director of the Association of Lawyers of Russia in the Ivanovo Region); Gladyshko Artem Vladimirovich (Head of the Corporate University "Kangaroo"); Dobryakova Elizaveta (student of Ivanovo State University, "Ivanovskaya Beauty 2021"); Kalmykova Lyubov Alekseevna (head of the department of project activities and development of the institution of the "Center for Culture and Recreation of the City of Ivanovo", artistic director of the ensemble "Vozrozhdenie", etc.); Kornilov Artem Eduardovich (General Director of Involta Promo LLC); Morozova Anna Alekseevna (Executive Director of "Ivanovskaya Beauty"); Malinina Daria Aleksandrovna (deputy executive director of NGO "Consultant"); Rodina Olga Alexandrovna (Director of the Ivanovo State Philharmonic Society); Frolov Andrey Alexandrovich (Deputy Head of the Department of Education of the Ivanovo Region, Head of the Youth Policy Department).

The program of the final show turned out to be extremely rich, incredibly bewitching, bright and colorful: the participants went to the podium in different outfits (dresses of the 18th century, chintz, wedding, suits with an umbrella), performed their best competition numbers; they were helped to impress the audience by invited "singing and dancing" guests (in particular, the Renaissance ensemble). Awarding the girls in separate categories (and these were valuable prizes, cash certificates, and even job offers!), the jury members spoke about the importance of beauty in our lives, congratulated the participants and the entire university on such a wonderful and necessary competition, and delivered heartfelt parting words.

And “Miss IvSU became a student of the 1st year of IH (direction “Native Philology”) Yulia Moroz! She also won the Miss Eloquence nomination, and at the same time was accepted (without selection) to participate in the Ivanovo Beauty 2022 contest and also received an invitation to work with L.A. Kalmykova, who liked the project of our freshman!

All contestants received “textile prizes” from Alfa-Trade LLC, specially designed sweatshirts from Merch IvSU, etc., and the winner and two vice-misses received cash certificates.

Rector of IvSU A.A. Malygin noted that “everything happens for the first time”, including the final of the Beauty and Talent Contest in the reading room, expressed special gratitude for all possible assistance in organizing the event to a member of the Council of the IvSU Alumni Association L.A. Kalmykova, and also, addressing all the participants, emphasized that now they are all real “Miss IvSU” and this contest will forever remain in their memory!
